This session features leading surgeons discussing various aspects of transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) planning at the Transcatheter Heart Valves Greece (THVGreece) 2026 conference.
Please note that all presentations are delivered in Greek.
The first presentation, “Borderline Annulus: 23 or 26?” was delivered by Dr. Konstantinos Lampropoulos, an Associate Professor of Cardiology at Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. Dr. Christos Pappas, a vascular surgeon at Vein Institute, Newtown, CT, USA, provided comments.
Next, Dr. Michael Zairis, a consultant interventional cariologist at Metropolitan Hospital, Greece, presented on “Low Coronaries and Small Sinuses,” with comments from panelist Dr. Apostolos Tsolakis, Associate Director of the 2nd Department of Cardiac Surgery at Hygeia Hospital, Albania.
The third presentation, “Valve-in-Valve With Coronary Risk,” was given by Dr. Konstantinos Spargias, Director of the Transcatheter Heart Valves Department at Hygeia Hospital in Athens, Greece. Panelist Dr. Michalis Hamilos, an interventional cardiologist at University Hospital of Heraklion, Greece, provided feedback.
The final presentation, “Bicuspid Valve” was presented by Dr. Georgious Katsimagklis, an interventional cardiologist and Director of Naval Hospital of Athens, Greece. Panelist Dr. Kiriakos Katsianos, Associate Director of the Transcatheter Heart Valves Department at Hygeia Hospital in Athens, Greece, offered his insights.
In May 2026, The Diagnostic and Therapeutic Center of Athens Hygeia organized the Transcatheter Heart Valves Greece 2026. The conference features pivotal specialty insights from both local faculty and internationally renowned professionals. Watch for more THVGreece 2026 videos in the coming weeks.
