Dr. Mara Antonoff, president of Women in Thoracic Surgery (WTS) and Associate Professor and Program Director of Education at MD Anderson Cancer Center, spoke with Dr. Tanisha Rajah, Research Committee Member of WTS and Resident Doctor at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, about why the WTS Annual Meeting is important for trainees.
They discussed the numerous benefits of attending this meeting, including the opportunity to engage with fellow trainees and participate in the speed mentoring event. Additionally, they explored various r scholarship opportunities available for some trainees and the meeting’s importance for global trainees. Dr. Rajah also shared her experiences attending the WTS Annual meeting, highlighting the networking opportunities available at the meeting.
