At the 2025 Endoscopic Cardiac Surgeons (ECS) Club Annual Meeting, CTSNet Senior Editor Dr. Lorena Montes spoke with Dr. T. Sloane Guy, a cardiovascular surgeon at Georgia Heart Institute at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, about the evolution of robotic cardiac surgery.
They explored using artificial intelligence in robotic systems and examined the current and future prices of robotics. They also discussed the future of robotic surgery, including innovations in digital and autonomous surgery. Dr. Guy mentioned various surgical robotic systems and the companies that manufacture them. Additionally, he shared his personal journey with robotics, including his initial doubts and the factors that sparked his interest in this field.
