Innovations and Artificial Intelligence in CT Surgery: An Interview With Friedhelm Beyersdorf

At the 2024 EACTS Annual Meeting, CTSNet senior editors set out to interview the most knowledgeable CT surgeons from around the world. Stay tuned for more interviews from the meeting.   

At the 2024 EACTS Annual Meeting, Dr. Alice Copperwheat spoke with Dr. Friedhelm Beyersdorf, professor of cardiovascular surgery at Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg and chairman for EACTS Innovation Committee, about innovations and artificial intelligence (AI) in cardiothoracic surgery. They explored innovative changes in cardiothoracic surgery, the future of AI in CT surgery, and the best ways for residents and trainees to get involved in innovation. They also discussed how EACTS is helping the specialty and using technology to improve the well-being of patients.
