Learning from Aortic Valve Repair: An Interview with Hans-Joachim Schäfers

Editor in chief Dr. Joel Dunning spoke with Prof. Hans-Joachim Schäfers about his career as an expert surgeon in aortic repair and the Ross procedure. They also discuss the nuances of the Ross procedure in pediatric versus adult patients and the future of aortic surgery.

Prof. Schäfers is a cardiothoracic surgeon at Saarland University Medical Center in Homburg, Germany. He also runs Cardiac Research and Education Saar GmbH, a website with resources on aortic repair.
