At the 2024 EACTS Annual Meeting, CTSNet Senior Editor Dr. Emily Farkas spoke with Drs. Adriano Tivane, Neusa Jessen, and Timothy Pennel about pilot sites and developing healthcare programs. They explored rheumatic heart disease in Mozambique, the purpose and goals of Cardiac Surgery Intersociety Alliance (CSIA), and mentorship in CSIA. They also discussed participation and program support in CSIA, and the challenges and rewards of working together to create this program.
