CTSNet Editor-in-Chief Joel Dunning spoke with Dr. Allen Razavi, cardiac surgery researcher and general surgery resident at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, about his winning video, “Minimally Invasive Bilateral Orthotopic Lung Transplant With Robotic Assistance.” They discussed the details of the surgery, advantages of using robotics for lung transplants, and the recovery rates of robotic lung transplant patients. Additionally, Dr. Razavi shares insights into his editing process for this video, future projects he is working on, and his experience working with high-profile surgeons at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
