It is controversal whether extrapleural pneumonectomy (EPP) or extended pleurectomy/decortication (P/D) is the optimal resection for malignant pleural mesothelioma. We therefore compared perioperative outcomes and long-term survival of patients who underwent EPP versus P/D.
