This single-center retrospective study examined 418 intent-to-treat hybrid coronary revascularization (HCR) patients undergoing robotic beating-heart totally endoscopic coronary artery bypass (TECAB) from 2013 to 2025, comparing those who completed planned percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with those who did not. PCI was completed in 332 patients (80 percent) and omitted in 85 (20 percent); propensity score matching yielded 82 pairs. Early outcomes were similar, although the length of hospital stay was longer after completed PCI (2.7 ± 0.9 vs 2.3 ± 0.8 days; p=0.004). At five years, cardiac survival was similar (95.7 percent vs 95.4 percent; p=0.608). The authors conclude that carefully selected incomplete HCR did not worsen midterm survival, revascularization, or major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events (MACCE).
