This video presents a forty-seven year-old woman who, when she was two years old, had a balloon valvuloplasty, then, as a teen, she had a Ross procedure. This procedure failed, so she had a freestyle biological root replacement. During the next 15 years, this developed severe calcification. The pulmonary valve had received a melody catheter valve and was working well, but the aortic valve was severely calcified.
The aorta was dangerously close to the back of the sternum and the selective cerebral perfusion technique was used to safely enter the chest. In the video, the severely calcified aorta and valve are shown being removed. Also, the creation of coronary buttons can be seen, and an Onyx root replacement is successfully performed.
