Deep Dive Into Total Arterial Anaortic Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting: Radial Artery to LIMA ‘T’ Graft Formation

This is a detailed video by Professor Tristan Yan demonstrating the left radial artery to left internal mammary artery (LIMA) ‘T’ graft formation, which is an important procedural step, when performing total arterial anaortic off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting surgery. This no-touch technique to the ascending aorta minimizes the risk of stroke. A 7-0 prolene suture is used to perform this end-to-side anastomosis of the radial artery onto the proximal skeletonised LIMA graft at the level of the pulmonary valve. A soft silastic shunt is inserted into the LIMA to protect the back wall and facilitate suturing. This video is provided ‘real time’ to show you in full detail how this anastomosis is performed.
