Day 2
This is day two of the team’s heart surgery mission to the UGMC hospital in Accra, Ghana. Today they performed a triple heart valve replacement. They also heard how Seth Vijayan got on, and Richard Graham, consultant cardiologist at James Cook university Hospital, and Nick Child, consultant cardiologist at North Tees Hospital, continued to assess large numbers of patients with severe heart pathology.
Day 3
This video shows day three of the mission. The team took Gordon Offei-Larbi, a local consultant cardiac surgeon at UGMC Hospital in Accra, through his first case. They performed some PCI and met the team from the Boston Children’s Hospital.
