As the society’s first female president, Dr. Dahle—who holds positions at the Emergency Department of Akerhus University Hospital in Nordbyhagen and the Lørenskog Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Oslo University Hospital, Norway—used her address to express gratitude to her family, colleagues, and mentors. Sher also shared three core principles that have guided her career: never give up, work hard, and be honest.
