Surgical Repair for Neonatal Mitral Valve Endocarditis

The authors present the case of a neonate who developed mitral valve infective endocarditis. Despite aggressive antibiotic therapy, his clinical condition worsened and increased inotropic support was needed. The patient underwent salvage infective vegetation removal and mitral valve plasty of the posterior leaflet.
