This talk features Joerg Kempfert, Senior Consultant Cardiac Surgeon, Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, German Heart Center, Berlin, Germany, presenting on “The Loop Technique: How I Do It, Including Annular Sutures,” at the Endoscopic Cardiac Surgeons Club Meeting 2025.
In his presentation, he discussed the evolution of “tissue-sparing” repair techniques, resection vs chordal replacement, and resection vs neochordae. He also reviewed premeasured Gore-Tex loops and how to choose the correct length for Gore-Tex loops. Additionally, he discussed annular sutures and provided an example of direct ring stitching.
The Endoscopic Cardiac Surgeons Club is dedicated to raising global awareness of the benefits of endoscopic cardiac surgery among patients, surgeons, and industry partners. Additional ECSC videos will be available in the coming weeks.
