Right Upper VATS Lobectomy in Patient with Incomplete Situs Viscerum Inversus

The authors present the case of a 69-year-old woman who was admitted to their division with a diagnosis of adenocarcinoma of the upper lobe of the right lung. The preoperative chest CT-scan showed the presence of a right-sided aortic arch. A right aortic arch is a rare congenital defect, often asymptomatic, and is usually diagnosed incidentally in adult patients. In this case, no congenital heart or other vascular diseases were present.

The patient underwent a right upper VATS lobectomy. She recovered well with no post-operative complications.
