Alessandro Brunelli of St. James’s University Hospital, Leeds, United Kingdom, discusses the benefits of digital chest drainage after lobectomy and segmentectomy. Dr. Brunelli shares results from the Objective and Subjective Outcomes of an Electronic Chest Drainage System Trial, which showed that the use of a digital drainage system lead to earlier removal of chest tubes and shorter hospital stays.
