Guest Editor Series: Coronary Arterial Anomalies—Pediatric and Adult Congenital

Monday, July 7, 2025

In this CTSNet Guest Editor Series, Coronary Arterial Anomalies—Pediatric and Adult Congenital, congenital surgeon and CTSNet Senior Editor Professor Sameh Said invited both pediatric and adult cardiac surgeons from around the world to contribute clinical videos on various coronary arterial anomalies and different surgical techniques that are used to manage them.

Due to the large number of anomalies encountered by both pediatric and adult cardiac surgeons, this series will be divided into two main parts. The first part will focus on the anomalous aortic origin of the coronary arteries from the wrong sinus of Valsalva, as these are the most common. The second part of the series will cover other anomalies, such as anomalous coronary origin from the pulmonary artery, myocardial bridges, and coronary artery aneurysms.

The first part of this series includes the videos found at the bottom of this page as they are released from July 21-25, 2025, concluding with a webinar discussion on July 25, 2025.

In this panel discussion, Professor Said and his guest expert colleagues explore interesting cases and techniques presented in this Guest Editor Series, discussing different approaches, tips and tricks, controversies in management, and shared expert opinions.
