This video, introduced by cardiothoracic pioneer Professor Magdi Yacoub, demonstrates the modified Mustard technique on a three-year-old patient with cyanosis. A hemodynamic catheter showed she had low pressure in the left ventricle and was not suitable for an arterial switch operation. Therefore, the decision was made to proceed with an atrial switch procedure (the modified Mustard procedure).

This video demonstrates a single leaflet neocuspidization technique for a destroyed aortic valve leaflet due to infective endocarditis in a patient with adult congenital heart disease. This technique not only gives the advantage of maximal preservation of normal native tissue of the aortic valve complex but also avoids the use of a prosthetic valve and its related complications, particularly in females of childbearing age.

This study explores the use of Hybrid Stage 1 Palliation (HS1P) in patients with congenital heart disease (CHD), particularly in those with single ventricle (SV) and biventricular (BiV) conditions. The researchers conducted a retrospective analysis of 39 patients who underwent HS1P, either with an expected BiV repair or an undetermined outcome.
