Each year, CTSNet's Resident Video Competition showcases the talent, creativity, and ingenuity of residents from across the world in their respective cardiothoracic surgical specialties. All qualifying entries will be published on CTSNet.org and given the chance to compete for the winning spot—all in pursuit of learning and best practice patient care.

Eligibility

The competition is open to cardiothoracic surgery residents, general surgery residents, and medical students from various backgrounds and programs.

Competition Guidelines

  • Only one submission per resident will be accepted.
  • Surgical videos, interviews, roundtable discussions, and creative submissions relevant to cardiothoracic surgery or medical residency are all welcome!
  • A resident must be the first author on a video for it to be considered. However, a resident does not need to be the primary surgeon in the operative video submission. To meet the CTSNet first authorship requirement, the resident must have created and/or edited the videos while also serving as the video's narrator.
