VISAR 2017 will be focused mainly on the diagnosis and treatment of aortic dissection, with a special focus on complication management in the acute, as well as, in the chronic setting. The program consists on a well-balanced mixture of hands-on training sessions on different topics related to aortic therapy as well as case presentations and state-of-the-art lectures on complication management. The hands-on training sessions include wet-lab training, endovascular procedures on simulators with different devices as well as workshops dedicated to perioperative patient care like periinterventional spinal fluid drainage. The main sessions are organized around “key-note cases” and provide multidisciplinary pro and con debates on highest level of experience to provide the best possible practical value for the attendees.
