Coimbatore is the second largest city in Tamilnadu in the western part of the state close to Nilgiris mountain range with conducive weather all round the year. Coimbatore has more than 1500 yr heritage with the oldest temple - The Pateeswara temple dating back to 1500 yrs.

It is famously known as Manchester of South India due to its dominance in textile manufacturing in the past. Now Coimbatore is a hub of entrepreneurship, industry, IT and education. The first Cardiac surgery unit was started in Coimbatore 40 years ago by Dr Muralitharan in the 80’s. Since then, cardiac surgery facilities in Coimbatore has grown in leaps and bounds. Coimbatore does not need to have any introduction for cardiac surgical teaching, almost everyone in the society has witnessed the “LIVE” series of annual conferences conducted in Coimbatore.

IACTSCON 2023 will be special to all of us. I hope it will be the next big live offline event after the pandemic.
