STS/ELSO ECMO Management Symposium

The STS/ELSO ECMO course is a 2½-day educational activity that is designed to provide participants with an in depth review of contemporary Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation. An increasing number of surgeons and intensive care specialists require advanced ECMO training to provide state-of-the-art care for patients who require ECMO. Course topics will include patient selection, initiation and separation of support, patient and circuit management, as well as management of ECMO emergencies. The course will feature several hours of high-fidelity simulation, providing participants with extensive hands-on training. The course is appropriate for both experienced and novice ECMO providers.
