Background

Born and raised in Accra, Ghana. First generation college student, who started out majoring in Business Administration and Accounting at Catholic University College of Ghana. Moved to Chicago in 2012 and transitioned to study Biology at Loyola University Chicago (LUC). Completed BSc in Biology in 2014 and a Master's in Medical Sciences in 2015 at LUC. AmeriCorps volunteer from 2015-2016 at University of Washington (UW), School of Dentistry, where worked as a project coordinator and helped to coordinate community health outreach and pipeline/enrichment programs For underrepresented and underprivileged communities.
completed 4 years of medical school education at University of Washington, Seattle and matched to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for general surgery residency. Currently an ECMO fellow at Vanderbilt after completion of my PGY-3. Aspiring cardiac surgeon with interest in heart transplant, ECMO and MCS.
