Following the completion of standardized surgical training in China, I served as a cardiac surgeon at the Center of Heart Valve Surgery, Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical University.
During this period, I provided care to a diverse patient population. This experience equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of common cardiovascular ailments, encompassing valve diseases, coronary artery diseases, aortic disorders, and congenital heart defects. My focus primarily centered on procedures such as rheumatic valve repair, degenerative mitral valve repair, aortic valve repair, as well as various valve replacements. Additionally, I contributed to coronary artery bypass grafting surgeries, interventions for aortic aneurysms and dissections, heart transplants, and the implantation of left ventricular assist devices (LVADs). Notably, I played a crucial role as an assistant in the inaugural LVAD implantation procedure conducted at Beijing Anzhen Hospital.
I have a long time of experience in basic and clinical research in the field of cardiac surgery, with a primary focus on valvular heart disease, particularly the prevention and treatment of rheumatic mitral valve disease. Currently, my research focuses on the multimodal imaging assessment of rheumatic mitral valve lesions, as well as the development of clinical scoring models to guide surgical intervention strategies and improve the prognosis of patients with rheumatic mitral valve disease.
