Background

Cardiologist at the Department of Cardiology and manager for quality of health care in University Hospital Thalassotherapia Opatija and two associated medical faculties: University “J.J. Strossmayer” of Osijek and University of Rijeka as an assistant professor. Acts as coordinator and partner in several EU projects and proposals, and is involved in EU-projects-review for European Commission. Member of board of governance of The Croatian Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health (IMROH).

Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Zagreb in 2005, completed medical training at University Hospital Centre Zagreb in 2006, residency from internal medicine at University Hospital Centre “Sestre Milosrdnice”, Zagreb in 2011 and cardiology in University Hospital Thalassotherapia Opatija in 2015. Felowship from cardiac magnetic resonance imaging at University Hospital Tuebingen, Germany in 2012. Finished master of business administration study as a scholar of international TEMPUS project of the European Union in 2007, doctoral degree from clinical medicine (internal medicine) at University of Zagreb in 2011. Member of European society for Cardiology-ESC, Heart Failure Association of the ESC, W.G. on Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Croatian Society for Cardiology, and member of editorial board in several peer reviewed journals. 

 Active participation in numerous scientific and professional projects, with  publications in peer reviewed journals.
