The Global Heart Forum - First Pan-African Cardiothoracic Surgery (PACaTS) Summit

Pan-African Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery (PASCaTS) & Global Heart Forum summit will be held on 22-24 February 2025 in Accra, Ghana. 

In collaboration with the Ridge Hospital, Accra, Greater Accra Regional Hospital and Ghana College of physicians and surgeons (GCPS), this event will feature lectures from prominent figures in cardiac surgery such as Professor Magdi Yacoub & Professor Joanna Chikwe, as well as keynotes from international thought leaders such as WHO Director General Dr. Tedros A. Ghebreyesusu and Executive Director of Edwards Lifesciences Foundation, Amanda Fowler.

The summit is a platform to share cutting-edge knowledge that is crucial for cardiothoracic and vascular clinical practice and research with the ultimate goal of improving patient care in Africa.

Simulation camps for Hands- On Experience in Valve Repair and CABG Surgery will be provided to a limited number of practicing surgeons to improve their surgical skills.

Participants have the opportunity to present their own research, network, and strengthen collaborations.

The summit provides specialized tracts for Cardiac Anesthesiology and Critical Care Management, Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nursing and future cardiothoracic surgeons of Africa.
