Bjerregaard and colleagues evaluated methylprednisolone as an analgesic strategy following video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) in a randomized controlled trial with 96 patients. Patients received either methylprednisolone or placebo prior to their VATS lobectomy.
