Program Information

  • Traditional program
  • One resident accepted per year
  • Separate adult cardiac and thoracic tracks

Additional Curriculum Information

We interview for one position per year and take the highest ranked recruit - regardless if this physician is congenital, cardiac, or thoracic.

Unique Program Components

Our residents quickly achieve their case load requirements as there is a high volume of operative procedures in the University Medical center setting -- to include congenital, robotic, and transplant. We also offer a three months rotation at a local Community based hospital which allows the resident to be hands-on with all aspects of private practice from the office consult, to the bed side, to the cath lab, to the operating room and back to the surgeon's office.
