Transxiphoid ASD Closure

This video demonstrates an ASD closure via the transxiphoid approach, using a specially designed instrument for lifting the sternum anteriorly. The author believes that a transxihpoid, or ministernotomy, approach for simple congenital defects is a safe option.

Congratulations, very good cosmetic results. The way of IVC cannulation is excellent, is it possible to cannulate the aorta in the same way through intercostal space if it was difficult to cannulate through the incision?
