The Aalst Human Cadaveric Endoscopic Mitral Surgery Course

Tuesday, November 26, 2019 to Friday, November 29, 2019

Location

OLV Clinic, Aalst, Belgium and ORSI Academy
Aalst
Belgium

In this four days human cadaveric truly hands-on course I want to prepare participants to be really ready to start an endoscopic mitral valve program. In more than twenty years of teaching and guiding surgeons by case-observation and later proctoring I have been a personal witness of the huge gap between being a good surgeon, having the ambition to start such a mini-mitral program and actually being successful in doing it. All the tips and tricks leading to a good endoscopic exposure of the mitral valve are key in this. Two LIVE-case observations at the OLV Clinic, lectures, highly instructive wet-lab exercise and a full day of cadaveric training at the exciting facility of ORSI should make this course outstanding and unique. My ambition is to transfer all this knowledge and hands-on skills step by step to the individual participant to make him or her truly ready for a successful start in their own departments. Success!
