In a recent issue of the European Journal of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Ammannaya and colleagues studied the relationship between prosthesis patient mismatch (PPM), pulmonary hypertension, and outcomes following mitral valve replacement to better understand the importance of avoiding PPM during this procedure.
