Debate: How to Manage N2 Disease

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

In a debate filmed at the 2015 SCTS Annual Meeting in Manchester, United Kingdom, Gilbert Massard and Gonzalo Varela offer different perspectives on how to best manage N2 disease. Gonzalo Varela of the Hospital Universitario de Salamanca, Salamanca, Spain, argues that clinical N2 disease precludes surgery, citing a lack of survival advantage and risk-effective therapy. Gilbert Massard of the Centre Hospitalier, Strasbourg, France, argues that surgery should be considered for N2 disease, citing improved survival after surgery.
