Step-by-Step Minimally Invasive Aortic Valve Replacement With Stentless Bioprosthesis

Tuesday, February 16, 2016

This video is a step-by-step guide for aortic valve replacement using a porcine stentless bioprosthesis via a modified subcoronary implantation technique. The stentless valve functions similarly to the native aortic valve and is hemodynamically superior to a stented prosthesis in the aortic position. The absence of a stent and sewing ring leaves more room for blood to flow through the bioprosthesis.

Few queries: 1) did you use any sort of vent for the LV? 2) am I correct you only used atrial pacing wires, could not clearly see that part
Nice technique for sub coronary implantation of Freestyle valve. Do you have any experience with Sorin Solo valve? It makes easier the implantation with only one suture line.
