Valve-Sparing Root Replacement Techniques

Monday, May 9, 2016

Valve-sparing root replacement can be a technically difficult procedure and requires a fundamental understanding of aortic root anatomy. The operation can be especially challenging for those who are in the early stages of the learning curve. This presentation describes the basic surgical techniques and steps required for successfully performing a valve-sparing root replacement.

This educational presentation was originally given during the Postgraduate Program at the STSA 62nd Annual Meeting. This content is published with the permission of the STSA. For more information on the STSA and its upcoming meeting, please click here
