Intraoperative Assessment of Flow in CABG Surgery

Thursday, May 24, 2018

Haaverstad R. Intraoperative Assessment of Flow in CABG Surgery. May 2018. doi:10.25373/ctsnet.6276053.

Rune Haaverstad of Bergen University Hospital in Norway discusses transit-time flowmetry to confirm graft patency after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). He argues that flowmetry is a useful addition to the toolbox of intraoperative graft assessment, reviews the details of performing and interpeting transit-time flowmetry, and discusses what can be done if measurements show poor flow through the graft.
