Robotic and Hybrid Coronary Revascularization
An international group of experts met at the 2017 STS Annual Meeting in Houston, Texas, to discuss the evolving practice of robotic and hybrid coronary revascularization. Pavan Atluri of the University of Pennsylvania is joined by Husam Balkhy of the University of Chicago, Eric Lehr of Swedish Heart and Vascular Institute, Johannes Bonatti of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, and Michael Halkos of Emory University. The panel reflects on the current state of coronary surgery, the importance of the heart team, and the upcoming NIH trial comparing multi-vessel PCI to hybrid procedures.
